Creamy Dreamy ( Shrimp ) and Grits

I must admit, I have never been a fan of grits. I didn't grow up eating them and some of my least favorite breakfast memories were surrounded by watery grits loaded with sugar. It wasn't until I was a sophomore in college, living in Atlanta, GA, that I discovered that grits were nothing like that! The Flying Biscuit in Atlanta is one of the city's best places to eat. During college, I went at least once a month, sometimes more if my family came to visit just to have a taste of The Creamy Dreamy Grits. I had them with breakfast, I had them with lunch, and I replaced a side at dinner to make room for grits.

Sweet Golden Cornbread

My first official FOOD post is delicious. Since it's the time of year for corn-based things, I decided that this Sweet Golden Cornbread, which is what I seem to be calling it, was perfect for this time of year.

not the best photo, but it was delicious

before i begin...

After months of sifting through pictures and trying to find the perfect one, I have come to the conclusion that I should just stop waiting and go for it. There is never a perfect moment to start a blog. With all the technology and individuality, it’s had to make a blog and have it stand out for one reason or another. I have decided to just go for. I love food. I love cooking food. I love eating food. I love trying new things. Nothing should stop anyone from trying new things. Especially not fear. If I fail, that’s alright. I can always try again under a different name.

The next post will most certainly be about food. Delicious food. Food that I went into the fridge and took out. I dove right in. I cooked it (occasionally with help from friends) and I ate it. Enjoyed it. And if you are following this blog or know me, I hope that enjoy reading the recipes I created, remade, tried, and love.
